Toronto-based fashion designer and Tendril darling Jessica Mary Clayton is presenting her oil-sands inspired Spring / Summer 2012 collection at the studio on October 13th. This collection is a collaborative debut, featuring textile prints on silk by Tendril. There will be cocktails, fashionable treats, and stunning garments.
Our friend Nando Costa has announced his latest project a short film wherein every frame will be laser engraved in wood. Even cooler is that participants will get to keep one of these one-of-a-kind artworks. The film titled 'The New America' is set in a fictitious place and time where a very advanced society goes through a phase of structural and financial collapse, but eventually re-emerges with it’s values rooted in a strong relationship with nature. Awesome!
Susan Sarandon's SPiN Galactic just launched SPiN in Toronto on King Street right around the corner from Tendril's studio. For those not familiar, SPiN is a table tennis / social club where you can unwind under blacklights with a cocktail in hand after a long day of whatever has been keeping you busy. Thumbs up! P.S. The balls glow.

We like toys. I think it's safe to say that all of the designers in our studio have a soft spot for a good toy. We keep toys in the office for a few reasons. Sometimes they inspire us, they add colour to our very white studio and sometimes we just like to play with them. Next time you’re in the studio, come by and have a look at them. Some of them are pretty cool, if we do say so ourselves.
Our talented friends at Pitú recently completed this awesome set of ID's for Argentinean broadcast network INFINITO. Check them out as well as more details here.
